KADRİ ENİS BERBEROĞLU
He was born in Istanbul in 1956, graduated from the Avusturya Lisesi (Austrian High School) and the Boğaziçi University Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics ('80). He has made his Master's studies at the I.U. Faculty of Economics, Department of Econometrics. He has started with journalism at the newspaper Dünya in 1980. He has performed at the newspapers Hürriyet, Cumhuriyet, Güneş, Radikal, at the CNN-Türk news channel, in Istanbul, Ankara and Bonn as correspondent, as Ankara Office executive, Bonn Representative, Baghdad War Correspondent, Economy Service Manager and columnist. He has assumed the positions of the Hürriyet Newspaper's Ankara Representative and columnist. At the CNN Türk channel, he has been preparing and presenting an economy programme at each week day starting from its foundation.
He is married to his wife, who is a journalist as well, for 18 years and has one child. Since December 2009, he has been acting in the positions of the Hürriyet Newspaper's Board of Directors, Executive Council (Executive Committee) Member and Chief Editor.
He knows English and German, he has three books published: "20 yıllık Domino Oyunu: Susurluk" ("A 20 Years Dominoes: Susurluk"), "Yüksekova" and "Öbür Türkler" ("The Other Turks").
